Yes bamboo is sacred....If you become hollow and empty through meditation...like the hollow bamboo..you will be enlightened...Bamboo stands for music....emptiness... Bamboo stands for our inner body too. As Rabindranath Tagore said in Song offering No 1... This little flute of a reed thou hast carried over hills and dales, and hast breathed through it melodies eternally new.
