Brain Operates By Prediction Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Brain Operates By Prediction

Your brain learns
from the past experience
that drinking water
makes you less thirsty.

This is remarkable.

But the water that you
drink just now does
not reach your
bloodstream for
about 20 minutes.

But water that
you just drank
quenches your
thirst immediately.

So your brain is making
a real prediction.
The brain actually
operates by prediction
almost all the time.
