WHEN i READ THIS POEM I recall how a kid becomes a man AND SHAKES HIS ONCE OLDER MAN HE'D HAMMER HIM IF HE CAN BUT NOW HE IS BOLD ENOUGH TO BE A SEASONED MAN UNLIKE HIS POP a one time FLOP
I still look back with sadness But I can still see my mothers pride As I stand by her side Boy to a man In loving memory to my mother......impressive expression. A beautiful poem so nicely and touchingly delineated.
Amen Dave...I experienced the same early childhood trauma and had a mother who endured pain as well...praise God that over the years things changed and I genuinely believe that my dad came to know the Lord...what reunions there will be in heaven some day...praise God from whom all blessings flow!
