In this modern age of sight and sound,
There's a box that's always around,
It sits in our living rooms with pride,
Enticing us with its audio and light inside.
With just a click, it comes to life,
Displaying images, both bleak and bright,
It's our window to the world, they say,
But sometimes it can lead us astray.
In this box, there's a magic spell,
It captures us, oh so well,
We lose ourselves in its moving scenes,
As if we're part of some unseen dream.
It brings us laughter, it brings us tears,
It's a never-ending stream of emotions and fears,
We get lost in its tales, both real and fake,
Television, oh what a powerful escape.
But beyond the entertainment it provides,
Lies a world of hidden messages and lies,
For in this box of audio light,
They control what we see and what we might.
They shape our thoughts, they mold our minds,
Leaving us with a distorted kind,
We're hooked to its flickering screen,
Trapped in this virtual reality scheme.
So beware, my friends, of this box,
It's a double-edged sword that cuts both rocks,
Enjoy its wonders, but keep in mind,
Don't let it dominate your precious time.
For in this box, lies a whole new world,
But don't let it consume you, my dear,
Use it wisely, let it be a tool,
And not a master, that makes you a fool.
Television, oh how it has changed,
The way we live, the way we behave,
It has its pros, but also its cons,
A box of audio light, that we must learn to balance.
