Botswana Wins 2024 Poem by Bame Bame

Botswana Wins 2024

It is the Year 2024
What are we still waiting for?
Our desire to succeed burns hotter than the earth's core
Today we stand tall, the masks are off
Our voices are raised, we are working for a cause
We've made it this far; a round of applause

No new year resolutions, are we free styling?
The year of the Youth, we are finally rising
We own 2024, that agreement is legally binding
We feel liberated, you'd think it's 1966
We are going to make each day count,366
We got this; nothing a change of Mindset can't fix

We know where we are going, we don't need a GPS for directions
let's talk about change, or should we wait for the elections?
Things are going to be better, claim it
Let's start building, we survived COVID
Great years ahead,2024 will be the preview
Give us time, you're going to love the premiere

The theme for the past few years was ‘Just Surviving'
We are changing the narrative; this year we are thriving
The word on the street is ‘Aggressively Grinding'
That dream you once had, is worth reviving
It's decided then; 2024 is going to be electrifying
"This one is for the History books, " deeply gratifying
