What messages do I have today?
Who wants to taste my reputation
Not waste another minute in word-play?
I love the lust that seeks me out
Believe ‘True Love’ to be a fairy tale
Grew up on the touch of others who knocked
Sometimes courted; the ones who grabbed. I
Got all sexxxually frenzied with them, but
They never got a recall or were within reach.
Boon-8, has Mr. Right called? You find me
Wherever I am when that call comes through.
I’ll marry him the same day it’s possible.
It’s dangerous for a man like me to ‘fall in love’
To trust that my path and his can be navigated
Simultaneously, that this is my soul-mate.
You know how I am Boon-8, how fragmented
The union of my childhood, young manhood
And manhood have been and the unfinished
Tapestry that I have tried to toss now and again
Only proves that emotionally I am
A man on a tightrope without a balance pole
Hoping someone will secure the net
Before I fall, before my nerves get broken
On the way down. What’s that Boon-8?
Yes, I will keep you informed of my location
Just in case the right call finally comes through.
