I invite Sandra Feldman and Rose Marie to read the comments on this poem. I suspect one of them is either of you two/Kumarmani G/Husband of B. Nayak/Sylvia Francis Chan

I know very well that this man (Answer this) is no other than Kumarmani G whom I love so much!

I have nothing to learn from the below gentleman Answer this. I am not at all a book worm. I don't imitate style of others because I am gifted with the power of creativity. I can create in my own ways and in my own style!

you forget the beautiful world around and time runs ahead of you leaving you behind.. this is so true dear Rini. this is also my experience. immersing oneself in books and wisdom is good. But we shall not forget to commune with the nature. Nature and meditation and contemplation helps us to be more and more human. thank you for your thoughts.. tony

Beautiful poem about the joy of reading books. But towards the end, it is observed that 'you forget the beautiful world around'. This, too, is a big tribute to the books and its readers. Thanks.

An interesting concept brought out strikingly in this poem. We depend on books (of course, now the net) , 'missing the woods for the trees'. A lovely poem!

'But living inside books you forget the beautiful world around and time runs ahead of you leaving you behind' - a point that we, the book lovers usually miss! Thanks for bringing to the fore this missed point. Heartiest congratulations on your poem being selected the 'Member Poem of the Day'.

Live, laugh, love. Books have their value but everyday experiences and interactions with others is the key to how to apply the knowledge we learn from books. Books are necessary and great for a rainy day. Great poem Rini and even greater poem of the day!

A beautiful poem with a meaningful message. Books are sources of knowledge. Yet, we cannot disregard the knowledge that we can get from the beautiful world around us and the experiences that we can derive from dealing with others. A well crafted and executed write.10++++ Congratulations, Rini!

So true, A very well conceived poem That opens the eyes of many bookworms to the reality of life. Not only thru intellect does man live, we must also participate in the real world that's around us to complete our existence. Wisely and very brilliantly said. Well deserved, poem of the day, dear Rini.
