Dear Mamta, It's a beautiful poem. It again proves poets think alike.Your descript with least of words makes it more meaningful e.g. Miniature trees/In shallow trays/Pinched/Pruned/Sheared/Twisted/Wired/To give them.......No one thinks of their pain, their shyness, their hollowness in the eyes of their brethern. We only look forward to our cosmetic beautification by dwarfing a tree for our drawing room or balcony. you deserve A-10 from me-Rajkumar

What a wonderful image and metaphor...why do we feel the need to shape things unnaturally...perhaps our conceited urge to dominate...beautiful write...Coach

Humans have always wanted to control and dominate Nature, even in art forms. This poem merits reflection, thanks for it.

A good poem, which evokes many other thoughts! It makes me think of bonsai (abridged) novels, bonsai love with one night's stand, and finally of abridged & selfish prayers we offer to HIM from our bonsai soul! Do you agree? - Raj Nandy 07 Jun 08

Desire to conquer forest Bring it to one’s own nest. Yes, we call it a culture A new breed to brood on. Taken to fancy, it amazes Taken to philosophy, it bothers. But no stop to new zeal One day we may have Miniature tigers and elephants! ! Cloning already on its way home. Thank you for this subject.
