This is a wonderful slice of life and a truthful display of how friendship gradually unfolds in shared activity. But I hope when it's my time to be CONFINED as these men are there will be a vibrant Poetry Club - I can do without pool! Unfortunately care centers find things like pool tables easy to stock - Poetry Clubs that would demand some creative effort. I was shocked at the sterility of life at my mom's very expensive care center. That's why the quiet joy at finding a friend is so charming and pleasing in your poem. That's what we need in old age because AT MY BACK I ALWAYS HEAR TIME'S WINGED CHARIOT HURRYING NEAR (Marvell, To His Coy Mistress)
