I totally agree with you Shahzia - I wrote and posted a poem entitled Pray do Not Pick the Daffodils which I posted early least year. However, it has disappeared from my list and PH say they have no record of it, although I did receive comments. I intend to post it again, so you may like to read it when I do - same sentiments as your lovely poem.
Flowers are alive and they should be treated as living things but to celebrate happy moments we use flowers to express our emotions and same flowers serve us when we mourn death and wreathes are laid on tombs. A nice write that arouses many thoughts in mind.
a good poem, flowers are beautiful when picked they do not last long.
I agree with you completely, never pick the flower let it grow with the plant.
Beautiful write...very well said....Do no make the nature barren...Good poem..
i hv heard plucking of flower is prohibited in spain n treated as social crime. best u said let the buds stay on the boughs, do not make the Nature barren for the mere selfish satisfaction and pleasure!
Flowers are to be enjoyed in their natural location. Only question arises when they are grown commercially to be plucked. Nice poem with beautiful expression.
Plucking flowers and letting them wither faster is being insensitive to the beaty of creation! Take from Nature only that which we can give back! A noble way of looking at God's creation!
Flowers and Nature's beauty is there only to see and enjoy. nice write.
a truth observed more in breach! this lovely poem is a pointer.
how true.....flowers look more beautiful on the branch, rather than plucking it and used for decoration for our own selfish need..a gud thought
the poetess loves and gets inspired by the bond of nature's myriad agencies. she dislikes nature being brutalised, a nature-lover that she is, she echoes the great Romantics.
