The boat man is from greek mythology, he is showing nether as a ghost or man but dark and neutral, but in modern time he is more commonly depicted as more of a dark reaper
picture perfect, but the boatman is shown as a Ghost with red eyes is too scary, otherwise very enjoyable poem as I like the boats and the oceans..
The boat man is Charon. He was the ferryman who brought the souls of the dead across the river Styx or the river Acheron to Hades. Nice poem, Maria. :) G.
