The duality of life is nicely expressed through this poem. In fact, every one of us hides the true emotions of us. This duality may be a tragedy, yet truth of life. So, it always points to the beauty of life. Brilliantly write. Chandan

A great poem from a great poet. How different are people inside and outside. 'but I'm too clever, I only let him out at night sometimes when everybody's asleep. I say, I know that you're there, so don't be sad.'... the poet has understood that the blue bird is eager to come out. Sometimes he gave it a chance at night. So very nice.10++++

A true poet of the darker songs. It might be that he died because of too many cigarettes and too many whiskey drinks, since his poems are oft melancholic. He deserves to be chosen as Modern Poem Of The Day, my well meant Congratulations to the family of CB.as well in Germany as in the USA. Myriad of 10's for the vote.
