Birds, they are some God's most beautiful creatures, great to watch indeed!
Delightful. poem. Flawless. Deserving of poem of the day. A perfect 10.
I value the poem extremely high in terms of it's subject theme, rhythmic style of writing, it' s flow, aptly used words and phrases and so forth. However, on top of all that I would place the way it teach readers how to watch a bird. You more than deserve the placement today. Thanks for teaching us something valuable. x
Fabulous poem, Adeline. I love nature, and especially birds. I have bird feeders hanging from my apricot tree in my back yard that I can watch from my kitchen window. The other day I counted thirty-two goldfinch at one time on the four feeders, with more birds in the tree waiting their turn! This poem had great rhythm and rhyme, and I loved the way you ended it. Congratulations on having it selected as poem of the day!
Knew I'd read this before. Unforgettable. Just to add my congratulations on your Poem of the day. Really well deserved, Adeline. Must look at your poems this week. Tom
Expressive love to nature, so much tenderness and attention! Thank you! Congrats with POEM of the day!
I love moments like that, Adeline. I wish I could have been there. Congrats on poem of the day
Well. This is only the second poem of yours, that I've read and you knocked it out of the park.First of all I loved the use of the word 'tid-bit, it made me smile. You don't hear that used very often., made me think of my Dad, he used to cal me Lil-Bit (a short form of Elisabeth) your poem would make a wonderful children's book. I'm going back to your poem lists, I'm sure you'll be hearing from me again.
Our thrill is in the acute observation rendered so beautifully in excellent verse. First rate poem. A 10 Tom Billsborough
This is a lovely poem capturing such a special shared moment/memory. It's written in a flowing script helped along with rhyme, but the visual/figurative detail really places the reader into the sighting with you and your daughter. Well done.
A nature poem that has a sweet, gentle and simplistic beauty.I love your way with words, they are moving and uplifting
A beautiful poem describing the beauty of a blue bird.................................
Fantastic poem with a terrific ending. I envy the unforced rhymes, and appreciate the generous portions of nature's bounty which you served-up on the side. I can relate to this poem, as I've pulled over the Jeep to witness Great Blue herons and Pileated woodpeckers going about their business. I saw two bluebirds on my fence last spring, but I think the six stray cats I feed caused them to move-on right away. I love your poem. Please read my new one- -'Reflection.' Thanks.
The knowledge was so thrilling! Nice piece of work.
