Patti Masterman writes masterly - I'm overcome when reading her poems. Her lines have meaning on several levels - like here, she describes the Blue Stone Girl then indicates that she identifies herself with the girl - that the thoughts never spoken aloud is how she got by in her youth, and that she was often lost in wonder - then she says once she was free, once she was me and then the reader knows she was telling us all about herself and not another girl. Excellent work and a joy to read, though it makes me sad. Warmest regards, Marilese
Don't be sad Marilese. Everybody changes. I honestly have been so many people in so few years! I suspect it is this way with everyone. What a strange world it is; it is still full of wonder, after half a century. (smile)
