Blue Pebble Tree Poem by Kelly Boutin

Blue Pebble Tree

Blue tree, collared leaves
Blue Pebble stones lie around
The tree is sweeter than when cherries bloom
And trees dream and drown

Blue tree, collared leaves
Blue Pebble stones grow beneath

The Blue Pebble tree is where they be
When they break down and learn to see
Break your heart and fall asleep
Find me a tree to rest in peace
Find me a Blue Pebble tree
Where my heart can cry beneath

This home, my heart, my love was yours
Hold me under the pebbly stars
Be the sea the shore can't find
Be the tree that blossoms mine
See your eyes once lost in mine

Tendrils of Blue Pebble love
Like feathers in the bluey twilight
Take my hand and walk beside me
Wind me up, my love, rewind me
Make me lost and then come find me
Hold my hand and count to three
We'll awake under the Pebble tree.
