THIS IN BETWEEN STATE OF TIME - That's the deeper subject of this poem. What strikes me is that this state would seem to be short-lived, a blink of time and then preserved in memory (hopefully) . But in this poem and the experience it relates you have sustained that time - it is running parallel to the real time of day as if it can exist in the free and open air and doesn't have to be sheltered in a memory chamber. I feel as if you have given me a chance to fully appreciate this moment. You don't claim any magic is at work, nothing preternatural is at play. It's as if your poetic faith in this IN BETWEEN TIME is so strong, so appreciative, it just IS. To summon such faith in preserving a beautiful moment is pure poetry.

The blue kite maybe more than just a symbol of better days? It is what emerges when those better days surface? A wonderful poem.
