Blowed Into Me Of His Spirit Poem by Mohammad Younus

Blowed Into Me Of His Spirit

Blowed into me of His spirit,
Before the eternity;
Life into me He thrust,
As was His Divine plan;
In the best of moulds,
He created me in His own image;
To be His vicegerent;
Not alone,
Now Eve with me, my mate;
At first placed me in His garden and told:
'O Adam, dwell thou and thy wife,
In this garden,
And eat, both of you,
Whatever you may wish;
But, do not approach this one tree,
Lest you become evildoers! '
Satan beguiled me; what have I done?
I was caught in a deception;
I was expelled from the Garden of Life,
Where death would not have touched me;
I was cursed and sent to the earth,
Where I and my descendants suffer,
Death, pain and distress;
My error cost me dear,
The Satan has drawn near;
Now naked I flee,
to avoid death in the wilderness;
I make a confession to my Lord
and ask forgiveness:
'Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves,
And if You do not forgive us...
And have mercy upon us...
We will surely be among the losers';
Now pity has shown, a new shoot has grown;
Allah has accepted my repentance, I'm sure,
He will admit me back to His Garden of Bliss;
Surely, He is the One Who is,
Most Relenting, Ever-Merciful.
