Blotters Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Blotters

Blotters

without names, space cargos,
God's aliens they came, hardy maidens,
macho tribesman
scantily clad or rugged trousers,

There were no Jose Santos killing suspect,
or Annabelle dela Rosa who committed estafa,
or sex trafficking,
only akin to life's situations,

The other night at the police headquarters,
soft breast, pubic hairs
mothers vulva
and intent to attract the opposite sex,
irrelevant,

We came worshipping nature,
with blood in our hands,
to intense jealousy,

We came to kill if necessary and take much more,
It's all in the land of
our ancestries,
necessities and folklores,

It's all marked territory,
the unlisted way of life
birth marks of human history,

innocence was once frivolous,
ineffective,

Neither Darwin's descriptions
is perpetuating these crimes among
the species,

Nor incalcerations represents the problems,
In the police blotters,
It came from the hearts, minds, hands and
the country and no where else.

presumed guilty,
until proven innocent,
to be a survivor,
as withinreach within confines
of their own conscience,
