Bliss In Disguise Poem by Haruna Garba

Bliss In Disguise

No volcanic eruption
No hot river of magma
Tardiness for a swap
I would rather have it

No earthquake
No ugly landslides
Reticence for a swap
It is just justified

No Typhoons
No Cyclones
Diffidence the sweeter scent
It would rather have it

No Uranium laboratory
No hazardous tasks
Below a dollar would do
It is justl justified

No racers' appalling Apollo
No racers' casing Cassini
Bashfulness the better taste
I would rather have it

No Uranium enrichment
No warhead monopoly
Hesitancy honey could be
It is just justified

Sweaty roaring rocket
Sizeable aluminum chamber
Here is unidentified firetortoise
Can swap space and time
Gravity none of his headache

No to Positrons
No to quarks
What with antimatter?
The Nucleus threatens me

No to rocket fuel
No to trajectory
Gases burning in Space
Wildfire engulfing towns

No to polished pellets
No to crops albinised
So suspicious i get
GeneTech is so unsafe

Bliss In Disguise
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Undeveloped and poor as the African continent is, nature seems to guard it against the most serious earthly disasters which it is incapable of coping with. The disease and hunger associated with Africa are a Bliss compared to getting itself faced with such catastrophes as volcanoes, earthquakes and the rest of them which seldom occur on the continent.
