Full of tender love n affection. A baby girl may not be very welcome in many homes but for the poet she is a blessing. A precious gift from heavens that made the sun, the moon n the earth cry. The virtuous one, the pious one...a beautiful tribute to a female child.

It is truly a privilege and an honour to be able to inspire a poet like you Akhtar. Gratitude for your inspiring and humbling comment.

Yes, each child is a blessing! As Wordsworth says in Intimations of Immortality..... 'trailing clouds of glory do we come from heaven'! But as we grow up, our pristine innocence is lost. Each child with its creamy skin, tender limbs and innocent face is a joy to behold! Your love for your tiny niece is so clear from your lovely poem!

Thanks Valsa, for the wonderful educating comment. We have another little baby girl in the family now. I hope I am able to love them both equally and am not partial to just one :)

Blessed, indeed, is the new born baby with pious parents and a virtuous Uncle. Lovely poem, Ayman!

I thought you said you aren't a poet. What makes one a poet than what you are? I think you poem well. God bless you

A lovely poem, Ayman. I am sure your niece will appreciate it when she gets older. Poems from the heart, unforced and with meaning, are the most beautiful
