Blessed Memories Poem by PRAVEEN KUMAR English Poems

Blessed Memories

Memories blossom, thoughts unfold,
Varied colours sparkle for themselves,
Fragrance in air enchants my world;
I'm enthralled, and lifted to heaven,
I feel cool breeze sweep over my soul,
And wonder whether that, my own world.

Not one, but two glorious chapters,
Indeed more than three decades apart
Far back in the womb of oblivious past,
Etched my whole world in ecstatic state,
Transfiguring me to holy divine kind,
High in heaven as pure God myself.

No distractions touched then my world,
I sailed in pure joy with light around,
Spell-bound by the grace enfolding me;
Yet they, mere parts of a long passage,
Two sheer chapters of my life's book,
Yet soulful and bright to crown my work.

Love is a deep and soul consuming rage
In evolution's process to breed and spread;
No, I now know, love in its purest sense,
Transcends life and world, material intent;
Love is pure truth; love, absolute beauty,
It transcends self's clouds, purest ‘midst pure.

Love is sacrifice; love, pure devotion,
It's intense, spotless while in pure state;
Love is like diamond, tough and very hard,
Kaleidoscopic in varied bright spectrum;
A celestial glow that lights the cosmos,
Love consumes self to light selfless world.

Blessed with love thro' my long passage
In spite of hard pains shared with it,
The memories yet thrill, lighten my life;
Treasured within in the womb of soul,
In nostalgic thoughts I remember my Loves
As my Gods if ever Gods exist anywhere.
