In the poem present feelings are related so nicely to the historical events- using some peculiar ancient words (I should not call it ancient rather literary) . It's mind blowing!

So came he to take care of me By holy blessing denoted from Thee And I feel like a hamadryad Belonging to him in his bravest journey. hamadryad in mythology. you are a person who have read a lot. that is my first impression as i read this poem. thank you very much. tony
