Blameless Cow?
1871 did be
Year of the Great Chicago Fire.
The cow of Mrs. O'Leary
Became the cause that did acquire
Longstanding repeat as a fact.
But there is evidence to say
The cow did not commit the act.
The Biela's comet that day
Sprayed meteorites that suggest
Why a lot of fires broke out in
Many places in the Midwest,
Maybe Chicago - might have been.
The comet not the cow could claim
To be a better source for blame.
