A thousand verses wouldn't do, to sing the song your spirit brews,
Those who can boast of the same struggle are only but a few
Black woman, rising like the sun, with galaxies yet to outrun.
From ancestral soil you sprout, strength woven in your every shout,
A legacy etched in scars while defying whispers and shouting out
From Nubian queens to mothers bold, stories carved in ages old,
You wear few diamonds, silver and stand with a courage that is bold
You built empires, fought for rights, with burning torches as light.
Angela's fist, Sojourner's stride, Rosa's bus, where courage hides,
Serena's power, Maya's voice, breaking barriers far and wide.
Oh, black woman, don't let them dim, the fire burning bright within,
You represent the very essence of what it means be a human being
The spark that lights the world anew, with dreams you dare to pursue.
You are the doctor, teacher, sage, the artist painting on life's stage,
The scientist, the engineer, building futures without fear of oppressive rage.
You are the mother, fierce and kind, nurturing body and minds
Your laughter, like a sunlit stream, dances on a moonlit dream,
You are the daughter, now free from chains, reclaiming life's kind.
Hand in hand with sisters you stand, a force unyielding to understand
You rewrote the script, with your voices rising louder than rock bands
Black woman let education be your shield, let knowledge be your battlefield,
Break down the walls that hold you back, with every step, upon your track.
Remember those who paved the way, their struggles light your path each day,
Fannie Lou, and Harriet Tubman, Ida B. Wells, a fearless woman,
Shirley Chisholm, breaking ground, Kamala Harris, standing proud,
Michelle Obama, grace untold, their legacies, forever hold.
Black woman, rise and claim your space, rewrite the narratives of your race,
You are the architect of your fate, rewrite the rules, don't hesitate,
This poem may not capture all, the depths of strength you proudly call,
Shine on, illuminate the way, for generations yet to say,
We rise, we stand, we overcome, black woman, forever become one.
You are the warrior, scars tell tales, of battles fought, through wind and gales,
You are the healer, gentle touch, mending hearts that nothing else can fail
Black woman, let your spirit soar, beyond the doubts, forevermore,
You are the queen, upon your throne, wisdom whispered, softly known,
You are the goddess, rising high, touching the stars within the sky tone.
Through dark shadows, you have walked unflinching,
Back straight, head held high, your spirit always clinching.
A 1000 verses wouldn't do,
But every word speaks truth to you,
Black woman, rise, your time has come,
From fields of cotton, sun-scorched and bare,
You rise, a warrior, defying despair.
Cradle in hand, you nurture achievable dreams,
Whispered hope amidst shattered seams.
In kitchens cramped, beneath flickering light,
Black woman conjured feasts, love banishing the night.
She learned, she fought, she broke the chains,
Became a doctor, lawyer, erasing the stains.
A teacher's voice, a scientist's mind,
Her spirit soaring, leaving doubt behind.
She raised her daughters, queens in her heart,
Instilled the knowledge to tear barriers apart.
So let the world witness this transformative tide,
Where black women and equality walk side by side.
In every stride, a testament to the fight,
For a world where justice reigns, radiant and bright.
