.black Is Beautiful Comments

Rating: 3.2

Every morning in the deep woods of the concrete jungle
With my near and dear ones I sing a coarse musical,
Humans raise from their good night sleep with a frown of unpalatable
They call me ‘Crow’ and express their acerbity with a scowl,

Hi! I’m Eddie Roa and I just got in to this website. By chance I came across your name in the list of poets and read some of your works. I have posted some of my poems today and yesterday. My style ranges from light to dark poetry (modern enough but not postmodern) and some Japanese verse forms like haiku, senryu and tanka. I hope you will bother to check out my work. Thanks and happy writing.

Yes, crows have had bad press over the ages but at least none are caged in pet shops (as far as I know!) . Interesting you open in a 'concrete jungle', not a thing I associate with India but what do I know? And no, I don't dance round a maypole in May. Classy poem this. Paul.

A Nice way to say that we carry around what we perceive as our shortcomings, and yet its these that finally prove otherwise! Actually, they say crows are the cleanest of birds :) And, I like them! Very nice write!

This poem is so 'deep' in varying texture and meaning. The beauty of it reflects what resides within its color. The perception of it as it unfolds creates its beauty. Without purpose, identity and an awareness of all it is besides just black, radiates its beauty.

The moon looks beautiful in the back dropp of a dark sky only…In the poem Black is sincerity personified and Colorful hypocrisy… Sincerity often overlooked, finds help as if from nowhere… hypocrisy got worshipped, at times falls into sycophant’s trap… A beautiful black poem…

Your words are like ashes from a smoldering heart, made more beautiful for having been burnt in the fires of life. Quite ironic that you mention the crow. While I put seed out for the birds that frequent my yard: the bluejays, the robins, the bluebirds, the cardinals, the chickadees, the finch, and the little starlings, I have always been particularly drawn to the crow. I call them sentinels, since they always seem to stand guard, perched high atop the trees, cawing from the branches above. They really are beautiful and striking in their own right. It is quite sad that our human eyes are always drawn to the most majestic. Hopefully, we'll have the soulful intent to appreciate the beauty that dances in the shadows.
