Black Forest At Night Poem by douglas lewis

Black Forest At Night

That spacing of trees
Once so familiar
Now drowns in the loom
Of the nothing night.
A black sea tsunami
With wooden tattoos.
Ferns as black
As raven's wings
Tickle my face.
A pleasure restrained.
It is actually quite beastly
When done in the dark.
