This is a wonderful poem of recognition to a very dear friend and poet. She is certainly a Sunflower and I applaud you for a beautiful piece well done. Thank you.

Hi Rini, Thank you for finding time to read this one... Of course, our friend Susie is a poet of abundant talent, and this is small tribute to her. Thank you! !
Hahahaha! My dear friend, what a pleasant surprise! I am glad you chose the Black Eyed Susan- -they are such a blooming happy lot! Bouncing around, nodding their heads, chuckling at life and friendly as heck. P.S. My eyes are hazel- -gots lots of flecks of green from my Dad and flecks of blue from my Mom. A muddled mess til I wear green. Or blue. Now enough of this ego trip! ! ! I enjoyed your write even before the next to last stanza. As always you have researched your topic and then fed it through that sumptuous image-maker in your poetic mind and gave us a joyous moment as we read it! I've often wanted to plant her in my garden- but the gardening book says it does not do well in windy spots... and since we get blow-your-roof-off winds in every direction, I had to give that idea up. Excellent write. Guess what? I am putting it in my fav list! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! As well as giving it a couple hundred 10's! ! ! !
Hi Susie, Your heart of pure gold and smileful (as I apprehended, my computer is a girl; she does not accept any word in praise of another lady) poems inspired me to pen this! Obliged!
That's a lovely read. I really like these flowers and their likeness to our lovely poet friend Susan is unmistakable as both have healing powers. That's a really creative piece n a befitting tribute to dear Susan. I love the humor, the wit in the poem and that also reminds me of Susan whose poetry can bring smiles to our faces. A super 10.
Hi Nosheen, Thank you for reading this poem. And your dearest comments. Of course, our friend Susie has always been able to bloom a smile on our faces, even when she was crying inside! Her enormous talent requires no special mention, for we have always enjoyed it in her poems. I am relieved that she has forgiven me for using her name in jest.. And thank you again...... Deeply Obliged.
Nice poem dedication, Unni. Loved a lot
