Bitter Words Devastating Poem by Terence George Craddock

Bitter Words Devastating

sadly I have found this to be true
recurring recurring recurring
like a revenge deadly curse

bitter words once spoken
can never be taken back
once they have pierced heart

like the delicate beauty
of an innocent gentle young face
radiant in sculptured lines

echoing enduring classical beauty
time frozen in appreciative mind memory
or chisel struck into marble stone

great beauty is master painted into lives
time struck into canvas words eternal
great beauty illuminates pure soul within

bitter words are like acid thrown into face
cruel acid like words can eat away beauties flesh
can eat away the vibrant spring in a step

the pure sweet laughter in the eyes
the confidant strength in a harmonic voice
the wind blown freedom personality

wind blown where it may be wind taken
in multi-varied caress breath adoring wind
wind ever playful in long flowing hair

bitter words
can be as harsh
as the cruelest hand
