Bite Me Poem by Bill Cantrell

Bite Me

Rating: 5.0

Ok, so I'm an onion
Don't mess with me,
for I have friends in high places
You know you want me,
a lot of women favor bad boys

We can make kings weep
Yes, we are packing heat
Once you fall in love with us,
there is no turning back

I still recall the Israelites,
during their 40 year journey through the desert
Their words keep ringing in my ears

Oh, if we only had onions like we had back in Egypt

They actually cried because they didn't have us in the wilderness
And they cried when they prepared us in Egypt when they dwelled there
Listen, you can't have it both ways

Oh yeah, there's other spices, but we rule
We bring out the best in a meal,
Actually, we taste so good,
think I'll eat myself

Hey…..not bad, not bad at all.
