Birth Where Death Resides

Rating: 5.0

The final end waits
all of us those who come
must also go
we are Earth's guests
No!
All of us
some live a 100 hundred years
now many refuse to die till 95
but some are born dead
or a few live half way
of an average life
of 75
so the heavens remain fully occupied

but the best of all is this
you can enter without a call
to the Reception counter
I went to Toronto the receptionist said
wait a day please
where
at another hotel
Hah if you can find one
but the Ridelieu
where finally we all go through
there seems to be no waiting Queue
for neither me nor you

Ring, ring! ! !
Wait don't get disappointed
a guest is leaving in an hour
go have dinner at the counter
tell them you are now not on a waiting list
come back soon
else you will this last chance miss

I will be going off my duty
the counter will open now
tomorrow morning

I decided to skip my dinner
my spouse and kids
thoroughly enjoyed
brought for me a packed sandwich
which lying in bed I too did

Ah, ah also had coffee indoors for free
hopefully but they did Bill me

This life is like a stay in hotel, and nothing comes for free. I do not claim to have understood the poem fully, but whatso have I have flashes of beauty
