Birth Certificate Poem by Lauren Coles

Babies come into this world without a name,
That's one thing that mothers have to do before they leave the hospital,
Babies don't have hormones until they are a little bit older.
Hormones can cause us to think different things,
A birth certificate tells people who the baby belongs to,
Down the road people are not happy in the body that they are born with,
A ultrasound tells what gender the baby is,
Gender Identity is not something that I believe in,
The name that appears on the birth certificate is the name that the person should stick with expect if you are adopting a child and going through custody circumstance's,
The baby should be born with a regular name then a foreign name because they are less likely to be bullied in school.
After all a name is something that you are going to be stuck with for the rest of your life.
