We wake up at dawn
to cockerel's wake up call,
and sleep, our nerves soothed by
nightingale's sweet lullaby.
Can we imagine our earth
without birds, their chirps,
twitters, whistles and songs
Their coos, warbles and chirrs?
French writer Michelet said
"birds may live on this earth
even if there were no men,
but men can not live without birds,
"birds alone could save him
from insects and reptiles
but birds may live without man."
And he is absolutely true.
Man is, on animals and plants
for food completely dependent
and much more, but Mother Nature,
of him, is completely independent.
Man has no role in maintaining
the balance of Nature, whereas
every other species plays a vital part,
man is not indispensable to Nature.
Birds are.
Man is totally dependent on animals and plants for his food and much more. But the balance and equilibrium of Nature totally independent of man. Actually, IN SPITE OF HIM.
Can we imagine our life without the presence of birds and their songs for us?

I totally agree with you. We can't do without birds. Man might be powerful but other creations have a bigger role to play.5 stars!
Right observation, Nosheen. But, man lives his life as if the entire world with flora and fauna is solely for his use..
The world of man will grow smaller and he will move one more step towards extinction, by every specie of plant or animal that vanish from the face of Earth.
