Birdie Poem by Petra Novakova

Birdie

Chasing the tails of high winds
Falling at neck-breaking speeds
Escaping the eagle on your heels

Floating on currents of change
Catching juicy flies within range

Flying above the mountain pass
Chirping upon seeing a nice lass
Dancing between leaves of grass

Oh, to life the life of a bird
Short and fullfilling
