Bigger Prayers Poem by Ogolla Enock

Bigger Prayers

The hands of providence are ever at work.
If you have not, it's because you ask not.
Beyond asking, seek and knock,
you only get as good as you sought
and depending on where you knocked.

Seek diligently and make bigger prayers
Mercy-seat invites fervent prayers; and
God waits to hear, not just circumstantial
prayers of the hurting and heavy-burden,
but the bigger prayers of the contrite spirit.

If you've to bow, bow low.
If you have to ask, ask big.
Make prayers that are big enough
to keep you on your knees and bring
the rest of the world to its knees.
