I'm watching a dog for a friend
He's making escape quite a trend
I've let him inside
His fence won't abide

Dogs are good company but can be a handful at times. Hope the guy got tamed pretty soon.
There are lots of "worlds" we can enter. The world of dogs is rewarding because they are such loyal companions and at the same time very much themselves. Certainly there are lots of dogs, mostly because we like them so much!
Dogs sure love to roam, if they can get past the fence. I enjoyed this poem a lot.
He, got out again today, now I need to figure out how. Found him a mile down the road! Thank you for enjoying my poem and your experience with dogs!
A wonderful and relatable poem so beautifully expressed.
Some dogs are like that. Our dog, Finn Boy, if he sees an opportunity to escape, he will run like the speed of the sound. We are fortunate that there are people who are kind enough to bring him back to us.
Yes, this neighbor was nice too though he did try to drive "Mouse" off with a shotgun blast into the air. Mouse just looked at him and didn't scare away at all!
We see, quite an unwanted and bothersome song. This is so funny. Had a good needed laugh. Thanks!
It is that if you're trying to sleep but I actually like his singing. I think he does it better than coyotes, certainly unique!
This dog likes howling with the coyotes. The neighbor didn't like it when he escaped and did his singing right outside the neighbors window.
Very cute poem. Animated too. We get the picture and feel sorry for you. Well, that too shall pass
May be it's a male dog trait? I'm sure female dogs like to run free too!
I'm pretty sure he's controlling me more! I spent the day doubling the height of his fence. The snow piled up on each side made it too easy for him to leap out. Hope it holds him now!
Very nice limerick, Rob!
Kim, thank you! I've been learning from you and your friends!
