Rating: 4.9

Burning! Burning! Whole world is burning
Erased ghettos, razing down skyscrapers
Mowed out farms, fields and meadows
Smoldering woods, thickets and vines

An impressive passionate piece, which I can almost hear screamed and yelled to music, the way that the young punk musicians express their anger and frustration with the staus quo. Your concerns are more widely based and more altruistic but the passion is equally ferocious. An honest and heartfelt poem, I believe.

A wonderful wake up call for the big brother that flows well with the theme. A vividly painted developing world looking for for leadership from the big brother rather than 'dadagiri' and inert role.

I gave this an 8 because I was able to understand it enough to get the full enjoyment out of the meaning. Big Brother is a powerful symbol and he comes alive in this poem. I expect him to appear at any moment. GW62

Today in the world, muzzle power and money power play a big brother role, as you say. The armament factory produces deadly weapons. They are piling up in their godowns. How to dispose them? In the big brother way, ofcourse. Drop them on the heads, who don't listen to the big brother. A fine theme.

So many concerns that need to be addressed - NOW! You put it very blatantly into words and images that one can hardly ignore. Yet man is still wearing blinders and thinks he can survive forever. The game will be over one day, and he did not play it well. Thank you for your powerful insight, Sathya. Linda

Thanks dear Sathya for this great piece. I love antiwar poems. The empire of warmongers will not last for longer. Your duty as poet to create awareness among people against war. I really love this poem.
