The universe was very small,
If it had any size at all.
Some say it was a singularity,
But it had infinite density!

Love this poem as it credits God. Colossians 1: 16 and John 1: 3 You didn't mention and probably know it but just in case you may like the Mandelbrot equation
An insightful work of art, deeply detailed and elegantly embellished with poetic rhyme and rhythm. A wonderful and poignant bit of verse. Thanks for sharing and do remain enriched.
Thanks for your compliments. This one took a lot of research and thought. I hope you like my other ones.
Spock, I truly loved this educational, wise and inspirational, beautiful creation, filled with meaning and truth!
When quantum theory came to town, Albert Einstein, he did frown, He said, 'God does not throw dice.' Thinking objects can't be twice. But he was wrong and now I know, Our free will was the reason so. Where came the force to make galaxies flee? God borrowed it from the gravity! great writings, splendid expression; great job great 10+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Wonderful treatment given to the theory of creation of universe. Moreover, this has been given a scientific temperament. The poem overawes. Thanks. A dark force has the depravity To overpower the gravity, I don't understand it.... No, I don't.
Thanks a lot for your kind words. I am awed by the universe and the creation.
A masterful work! Both informative and witty. Personally, as a former science teacher I find that many theoretical physicists are nothing more than fantasy speculators. It takes less faith for me to believe in than to believe that all the universe once existed as a singularity.. Thanks for the gem. 10++++++++++++
What an amazing write ! ! ! ! I As if I was going in a space journey- - - Universe spinning - - - Literature, science, philosophy - all rolled into one piece- - -Our quest for knowledge about the Universe , so limited, so small - - - - -new theories coming up by scientists every now and then- - - - We understand, yet do not understand. - To quote rom the poem- - A dark force has the depravity To overpower the gravity, To make the galaxies move apart. It must have happened near the start. They say dark energy is positive, And assign gravity to be negative. The total that comes out below, It is a big fat zero! I don't understand it, No, I don't.
Thank you much Bharati. There is much to learn. There also seems to many who think they know it all, but are not even close.
Good to meet a fellow Trekkie who is willing to boldly go where no one understands. Roy
Wowwwww what an intellectual poem, I appreciate the scientific muse here as science is my most fav subject. The last stanza was my favourite since the combination of science and God is a must esp since Einstein declared so too. I do tend to focus more on the laws of science since they are the established repeatedly proven parts of science as opposed to everchanging theories which are usually not empirical. I believe in the Big Bang as my holy book mentions it too but this most amazing bang was planned and masterminded by God. And because of the Law of Biogenesis which evolutionists try to conceal, I believe firmly that God cooked the primordial soup too. Hey loved the aurora line as well. Kudos for a masterpiece epic of my taste. Pls do comment my latest poem too, titled Pickled Scenery
This is amazing, lots of things to learn from it! This is one of my favourite subjects and Stephen Hawking is my inspiration, he IS magic! Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks, Julie. Stephen Hawking knows a lot, and his books are relatively easy to read. He thinks science is about to discover the last detail. I completely disagree with that.
Where came the force to make galaxies flee? That's the most important question, and the believer has a very simple answer, it came from the God. One of the most philosophic and scientific poem I ever read.
Uhm glad to have found your work. On this great big site. Oh what a wonderful Lesson on theoretical procession. Likened unto a carnivale or a circus of debate's. You surely found a fan base of those who can appreciate.
Thanks, Stephani. My poems are of various types, including humor. Some don't think I am good at those. To each his own.
After three minutes it has cooled down To a billion degrees, but don't frown, For molecules are coming together, I love the lines of universe in ints- infinity of words
Thanks, Kee. The word infinity may be more involved that you think.
A fun and intelligent write. I try to keep current with physics and it is fascinating and often difficult to fully appreciate without a high degree of mathematical knowledge. Hopefully, our understanding will go through an inflationary period, but we are just starting to scratch the surface. I would like to be alive a few thousand years from now when more is 'known'.
Thanks, Kelly. Some different theories are based on different mathematical approaches. In many cases there is little understanding outside of the mathematics itself. No one can even guess as to what is inside an electron, for example.
Dear Spock, Both the religion's creation theory and Big Bang's random hit-and-miss theory rest on assumptions, both are a BELIEF and thus both has the same value and we can choose what we want to believe. I choose to believe that planning and consciousness came first and that from every subatomic particle to the highest forms of life has a form of awareness and their own degree as consciousness. I can't prove it - and neither can other groups, so there is no way to decide except what feels best. Thank you for a very enjoyable poem! Kind regards, Margaret Alice
I agree that atheism is a belief. The role of consciousness is widely debated. This one won't be settled for a long time.
I really enjoyed reading this poem, it is really good. Conley Murray
" I don't understand it...." Neither do I......a bit technical
