you said you'd never hurt me
that you were always there
to be my shoulder to cry on
but as i sit with a tear in my eyes
i feel like an injured fawn
you said i was your best friend
and that you loved me you promised
you'd be there to see my years
now my eyes fill with tears
as i think of how i loved to hug you
you promised you'd always be my friend
but as i lie on my pillow i finally
see it's the end of you and me
bffs for life or maybe not i only
regret knowing that i'll never
stop loving you my best
friend for life
