Beyond The Great Sunset Mountain. Poem by joe acacia

Beyond The Great Sunset Mountain.

I could feel the sunlight coming to an end.
I kept my eyes fixed on the southern sea.
and beyond the great sunset mountain,
I saw the sunset painting the sky in red.
it was waving that paintbrush like a wavering flag
uncertain if it should leave some blue spots.

on the horizon side where the sun made sunflowers golds,
the wind never got cold.
and the clouds never got old.
sitting at the top of the sunset mountain,
I've seen them all.
the reflection of time racing the sunlight in line.

the river was flowing in the valley down the mountain.
and the sunflowers field remained golds.
all the cherry blossoms kept spring in hold.
something about a beauty unfold.
