Beyond Duality - I Am One - I Am Pure Awareness Poem by Kali Kaivalya

Beyond Duality - I Am One - I Am Pure Awareness

Where are the elements, the body, the mind?
Where is the void, or despair I might find?
My nature, so clear, like light in the air—
Where is scripture, Self-knowledge, or care?

Where is contentment, or freedom from fire?
I am empty of two-ness, of all desire.
Where is Knowledge or ignorance's claim?
Where is the 'I, ' or "this" with a name?

There is no bondage, no freedom, no test,
For Self has no attributes—no unrest.
Where is karma's unfolding, its path or its strife?
There is no such thing as liberation in life.

Where is the doer, the one who enjoys?
Where is the thought, or its ending noise?
Direct or reflected, no knowledge can be—
For here, there is no person, no "me."

Where is the world, or one seeking release?
Where is the soul finding some peace?
My nature is Unity, boundless and clear—
Where is creation? Destruction? Nowhere.

Where is the seeker, or something to gain?
I am One, beyond loss or pain.
Where is the knower, the knowing, the known?
In Awareness, no boundaries are shown.

Where is distraction, joy, or grief?
I am Stillness, beyond all belief.
Where is illusion, existence, or more?
I am the space where all things pour.

Where is God, or attachment to prove?
I am Awareness, no need to move.
Where is activity, bondage, or free?
I am timeless, indivisibly "me."

Where is the teacher, disciple, or cause?
I am boundless, without any laws.
Where is existence, or Unity's call?
Nothing emanates—no more, that's all.
