Although I did not come from a broken home, where the parents split or divorced, I did live in a home where there was little love expressed between my parents for most of my memory, Fay. It is a very awkward feeling for a child who realizes there is little love between their parents, since we are all taught from our youngest years that love is what makes the world go round. Your deeply touching and thought provoking poem expresses this feeling very well, that one of utter confusion for fear of showing too much favoritism to one parent or the other and being reproved for it by the 'slighted' parent. It is a wonderful, candid, and memorable write. Carl.
WoW! this is great, its the sort of questions a child would acutally ask, some of these really hit home, you have a wonderfull way of caputuring the 'real' its a real pleasure to have discovered your work. 'God, how do I choose when my Mom and my Dad Ask me a question that splits me in two' this is really striking and makes me reflect on my own youth, great work Vincent

What a good subject to cover and from a childs point of view, the parents often forget how deeply their children are hurt, and how can they be expected to choose. Fantastic insight and a great read10/10/10 Regards Dave T
