A poem which makes us aware of the hidden dangers in our own (civilized) society too though metaphorically speaking. Beautifully written. Thanks for visiting my page to read poem of the day 'Musing of an Autistic
:) hmmmm.... lovely.......incisive, contemporary and on another level enjoyed
The spider web......invisible threads...the lofty skill adopted by the spider to catch the fly...all these have emulated the 'hidden danger' in any work....you have meticulously described the strategy adopted by the spider in your poetic style.....10 points to you..
Hi Rini, Fantastic! A keen observer of nature, you are! And nature behaves exactly as you have written. How keenly, the spider builds his web! How he is endowed by nature to spin his web! A web that could stick a fly to it, but not the spider! And with a deadly venom to instantly immobilize his victim, so he could pray on it. The intrigues of nature is like this! ! Truly inconceivable.. And finally, in order source enough of the right nutrients for the next generation, the female spider has to eat him up; but not before she secures his genes to pass on to the next generation, in an awesome mating. Coming to think of it, the females of all species are equally deadly, it is not? ? ? Hehehe! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! A perfect 10+++ for this lovely poem!
Thank you.. deadly according to the role, you forgot about the innocent hover fly. :)
You have left a great message to the human society through this little poem Liked it
