Between Nothing And Forever Poem by Sven Rhoads

Between Nothing And Forever

Rating: 5.0

On one side I see the the ever growing darkness
Advancing like the damned from the abyss
On the other I feel you soft velvet caress
Lit by the burning of a thousand bright stars

To the left I can see only the shadows waiting
To the right I find the storm that is deep within me

Alone I walk with the thoughts of you inside
One more reason to keep the flames burning high
As I stand at the cliff between nothing and forever
Where the sirens are calling out my name
This time I have wandered has killed all of me
The good, the bad, but for rebirth of be
Like the noble oak I must rise from the dirt
For a new dawn will arise from the blood, sweat and hurt

Though this might not be much of a life
But it's still mine that has to be lived
Pain maybe the dominance of what I feel
But for surrender I have nothing to give

Maybe one day I will see you again
Will you rejoice when I finally appear
Just to see your smile, feel your warmth again
It will brighten the sun to see you near
