Between Fiction And Non-Fiction Worlds Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Between Fiction And Non-Fiction Worlds

Words are strange
They are unstoppable
Sliding between hidden crevices
Transforming lives with their smooth talk
They are the true building blocks of this reality
You can never truly understand them
As they are made of nothingness
They are so strange that they weigh nothing
But they can destroy the human psyche
With their gigantic messages
They can build bridges between dimensions
Sliding between fiction and non-fiction worlds
They have mastered the art of deception
Like a hallucinogenic drink
They can be very convincing
With pockets full of charm
They are the true substance of life
Capable of painting the picture of happiness
And declogging the human mind
They are champions in both the cleansing and destruction of relationships
Words are the supernatural phenomenon
Hidden in broad daylight
My favorite words are
'I love you'
These words can penetrate the fabric of the heart
Relaying raw feelings
Deep into the mystery of the spirit within
