Between Poem by Phil Daniels

Between

Between heaven and hell is only this life
It is the most fragile thing in the world
Some is pleasure and joy, some is toil and strife
It depends on your partner and how you are twirled

As you dance across the floor of this earth
You pick your own partner and the road you take
And build up a reputation, a value, a worth
So when you open your eyes have you made a mistake

You can dance in a frenzy and dance like hell
Or glide so heavenly so calmly and sweet
Showing to all how good and dance so well
But picking the wrong partner you end in the heat

Choose the Lord Jesus and dance to His tune
For He will lead you to His Heavenly place
Just follow and obey no fault He'll impugn
And you'll be with Him forever face to face

So you are the only one with the choice
Selecting the devil or Jesus so pure
Pick a waltz not the barn dance hear the voice
Between heaven and hell you are for sure
