Cold days make us all the more gloomy as against sunny days! 'Dull grey sky', 'frightened like a sparrow', 'loneliness'...... all these add to the melancholic mood of the poem! A poignant write which conveys more than what is said! A 10

Reminded me of Wordsworth's Upon Westminster Bridge. A soulful nice treat despite its melancholy. (10)

Sometimes a somber environment outside in tandem with our restlessness of our heart, acts as a catalyst to paints a desolate picture. A beautiful mood poem bringing out the darker shades of human emotion which each one of us must have experiences at one point of life or the other.10

This is a mood poem. Love it. Freezing cold November days are foreboding in Minnesota too. The bird imagery is great....The flock of starlings contrasts the beating hear of the sparrow and the howling spirit convey the mood so well. Thanks for sharing.
