Bemused And Confused Poem by Nellie Isabelle Steward Cooper

Bemused And Confused

Soooo glib in answering questions nobody asked

What good is that...sidetracking everything...! ! !

Not my concern... you say

Only muddling
and muddy too.....but

Muddling, muddling, muddling

To the unasked question
you give true and far
to many answers

And so you shall....! ! !

But the unerring thing
oft comes in
slantwise

It is something lying there in
the grass
perhaps accessible to all

Someone sees a glint
where glints are not

Or they see terrible
misalignments
when none are there

Or maybe, often patterns are seen
but what patterns....? ? ?
Aberrant eyes

Strange in their beauty
but unknown in meaning

Over indulging in non sequiturs
and forever haphazard

Label them as you will

These fall out

These come about

So you say

Bemused And Confused
