Belongingness? Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Belongingness?

Rating: 5.0

You may call someone
my beloved.
Who indeed is your beloved?

You may call someone
my son.
Who indeed is your son?

Strange are these
family bonds.

Belongingness?

To whom do you belong?
Who belongs to you?

From where did you come?
Where to is your onward journey?

Reflect and find the truth of life.

the philosophy of Sankaracharya) .

People speak of 'my son, my wife.' But you cannot own another person. We all belong to God. Someone may choose to entrust their heart to you, but it is their choice, and your choice to accept, or no. A very well-written, thought-provoking poem! : -)
