Beliefs Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Beliefs

Beliefs

Of late, i believe in nothing,
Not a face i can remember, in the clouds, or on the fountains,

Not a prayer l can count on, religion i can depend on,
Or an answer i can rely upon, or a call from somewhere,

Nothing begets nothing, confronts the thinking,
I shouldn't have given idol worship, hero worship or nature worship,

The face of love is not a stone, an image or a figment of the immagination,
Not an icon, sympathy or a symbol of the human kindness,

I received my gifts, from my own fleshs and blood,
Treasures from the skin, cranium and the bones,
My wealth of purpose,

Nurture from the touch, kiss and the hugs,
The tears from the joys and the blessings,

Although unrealiable l much predict,
This kingdom on earth is much faulty, theories,
With cracks and wishful thinking,

A failure of the system, may become the doom of everything, rescinds this theory of everything,
But as sure as anything,

Predict the best outcome, believe in the human truth, love and the imperfections, believe in the hope, trusts and your heart of gold.
