Being Young Poem by Julia Luber

Being Young

Rating: 5.0

Because being young, before you know, any of the crucifixion difficulties
of life IS FUN, and fantastic, and fabulous, and Free. Because being young
makes experience have a glamour that is all its own. A space of emotions
and feelings that can only happen for the young. That is not what makes
them precious. They simply are precious. And are inimitable, and there
is no other time niavite is so shrouded in deception, making so many come
off so sophisticated who really know almost nothing at all. But the scariest thing
to know is that once you kind of know everything about life-all its sordid
cynical secrets, all its terror, all its shock and scorch-when you should really
be coming off the most sophisticated of all; what then happens is that
you start to seem stupid in a way and even dumb, because the power of shock
and the horror of the terrors getting away with it (and happily at that)
makes Everything contaminated in its own way. And so you really know just
how amazing being young and knowing nothing and pretending one is just
so aware is just the greatest hoax of all to be hypnotized by. There is no trick
so strong as the power of being young and fantastic and free.
